The GNOME Project has announced a new development release of the GNOME Photos application, as part of the recent release of the GNOME 3.11.4 desktop environment.

GNOME Photos 3.11.4 no longer crashes if Tracker is absent, and it detects creation of collections and displays albums within albums. Moreover, the change-monitor and change-event functions are now smarter when resolving new item IDs, and selection-toolbar uses the action bar.

Furthermore, the following translations have been updated in Bulgarian, Simplified Chinese, Galician, German, Greek, Hebrew, Kannada, Lithuanian, Brazilian Portuguese, Slovenian, Spanish, and Tajik. More details can be found in the official raw changelog. Download GNOME Photos 3.11.4 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
