The GNOME Project has announced a new development release of the upcoming GNOME PackageKit 3.12 application with several improvements, fixes, and updated translations.

GNOME PackageKit 3.11.5 fixes compilation issues with the --disable-systemd option, renames the “Software Install” action to “Package Install,” consistently uses the name “Packages,” and changes its name from “Add/Remove Software” to “Package Updater” in order to avoid confusion with the GNOME Software app.

Also, the Hindi and Chinese translations have been fixed and the Assamese, Chinese Simplified, Czech, Galician, Greek, Lithuanian, Norwegian Bokmal, Russian, Spanish, Tajik, Thai, and Traditional Chinese translations have been updated. For more details, please check the official raw changelog.

Download GNOME PackageKit 3.11.5 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
