GNOME Disk Utility, the utility that allows users to handle storage devices, is now ready for the highly anticipated GNOME 3.8 desktop environment, as announced on March 18 by the development team behind the GNOME Project.

GNOME Disk Utility 3.8.0 is actually the first stable package for the upcoming GNOME 3.8 desktop environment, which should be officially released at the end of March 2013.

Unfortunately for some, this stable version of the GNOME Disk Utility software, or Disks for short, doesn't bring any fixes or improvements over previous development releases, except for lots of updated translations.

Keep in mind though, that GNOME Disk Utility 3.8.0 now requires udisks 2.1.0. For more details about this release, you should check out the complete raw changelog for GNOME Disk Utility 3.8.0.
