The GNOME Control Center application has also been updated as part of this RC (Release Candidate) of GNOME 3.16 and includes a great number of changes that we have listed for you in the next paragraphs.

According to the raw changelog, GNOME Control Center 3.16 RC reverts the "Disable SSLv3 because of POODLE" message, makes the HighContrast icons work again, updates various language translations, allows button mapping if the stylus has only one button and adds Huion H610 Pro panel in the Wacom section.

The Online Accounts component now uses the WebKit2 engine, the help URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) has been updated in the Sharing section, a memory leak in the input chooser has been repaired and the input chooser instance can now be reused in the Region section.

The Network, Power, Sound, and User Accounts sections received updates

Moreover, an alignment issue with the "Screen brightness" label in the Power section of GNOME Control Center has been fixed, hidden configuration options are no longer saved in the Network component, the “Only for this network” option will now work for IPv6 VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), and the fingerprint delete dialog formatting has been fixed in the User Accounts section.

Lastly, two alerts have been prevented from being played at the same time in the Sound section, under various conditions, a crash that occurred when the user switched inputs or outputs has been repaired, and the bar’s visibility has been fixed when the orientation is identical to the default one.
