The GNOME Project has announced the immediate availability for download and testing of a new development release towards GNOME Bluetooth 3.12, a package for the GNOME desktop environment that handles Bluetooth connections.

GNOME Bluetooth 3.11.3 replaces the obsolete separate wizard with a widget in order to create a Bluetooth Settings panel, which will be used by the GNOME Control Center application.

Moreover, GNOME Bluetooth 3.11.3 adds better icons for Apple, Google, and Samsung phones, as well as for headsets and headphones. The following APIs have been removed in this release: settings/wizard plugins API, applet gir library, and killswitch, which is now handled by GNOME Settings Daemon's Rfkill plugin.

Download GNOME Bluetooth 3.11.3 right now from Softpedia. Keep in mind that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed and used on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
