The GNOME Project proudly announced a few hours ago that the GNOME Shell Extensions website is now public and every GNOME 3 user can go there and install the available extensions for the GNOME Shell user interface.

If you're reading this, then you probably know what GNOME Shell is and how it looks like. However, many of you probably don't like the current look of the GNOME 3 desktop, therefore GNOME Shell extensions are here to improve your overall desktop experience.

A website from were to install GNOME Shell extensions is a dream come true for all GNOME 3 users, not to mention the fact that you can also list your own extensions.

At the moment, the GNOME Shell Extensions website is in Alpha state, and it contains only 20 (twenty) extensions, listed in alphabetical order (with screenshots and description). Probably more will come sooner than you might think, especially if users will contribute to its growth.

What are you waiting for? Go and grab some of those shiny new GNOME 3 Shell extensions from the GNOME Shell Extensions website and let us know if you've found something interesting.
