GNOME 3.6 Beta 2 Is Now Ready for Testing

The GNOME Project unleashed a few minutes ago, September 9th, the immediate availability for download and testing of the second and last Beta release of the upcoming GNOME 3.6 desktop environment.

The Beta releases of GNOME 3.6 are a very important milestone for the development of the GNOME 3.6 desktop environment, as it comes with all the nice features that will be part of the final release. From here on, the development team will only focus on polishing these features and fixing annoying bugs.

The next development release towards GNOME 3.6 will be GNOME 3.6 Release Candidate, available in two weeks, around September 19th, 2012.

Download GNOME 3.6 Beta 2 sources right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a beta release and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended to be used for testing purposes only.
