The second update for the GNOME 3.12 branch is now available for download

Frederic Peters from the GNOME development team has just announced that the second maintenance release for GNOME 3.12.x has been launched and is now available for download.

The GNOME packages have arrived on time and the new update for this desktop environment is now finally ready for people who are sporting the latest 3.12.x branch. As usual, this is mostly a maintenance release, but many important aspects of GNOME, like the Shell for example, have received some numerous changes.

“Here comes GNOME 3.12.2, our second update to GNOME 3.12. It includes many fixes, various improvements, and translation updates over 3.12.0 and 3.12.1, we hope you'll enjoy it. The road ahead is 3.13, a schedule has been published, and a first development release got released on April 30th. The next release will be 3.13.2 and is scheduled for May 28th,” reads the official announcement.

GNOME 3.13.2 updates the following core apps: Empathy, Eye of GNOME, Epiphany, GNOME Shell, GTK+, Mutter, Nautilus, Tracker, Totem (video), and more.

As usual, a number of applications have also been updated, such as Evolution, Glade, GNOME Maps, Orca, Polari, Tali, Seahorse, and many more.
