Microsoft today rolled out an important batch of updates for Internet Explorer that seems to bump version number to 11.0.3 on Windows 8.1.

According to Redmond’s very own update information, the general distribution release (GDR) fixes are supposed to fix bugs and other issues found in Internet Explorer, hence the minor version update that users can now see on Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 devices.

The same batch of updates has been released to both Windows 8.1 and Windows 7 this morning, so users who have already installed Internet Explorer 11 on any of these two platforms should now be running version 11.0.3 in case they have already deployed today’s Patch Tuesday fixes.
