GAME Stores Group Ltd., a video games retailer group that operates from 700 stores, concessions and franchises in 7 territories in Europe,
is offering its customers the chance to meet the voice of Mario, the character created by Shugeru Miyamoto in 1981 and star of the Super Mario Brothers range of video games, at their flagship Oxford Street store on Friday 15th September 2006.

'Mario' - real name Charles Martinet - will be around between 12 pm and 4 pm to sign limited edition postcards for customers while they wait for Nintendo's official announcement about their forthcoming Wii console. Copies of the latest Super Mario Bros game will be given to the first 18 customers to get Mario's signature, while the next 10 customers will receive a Mario T-Shirt.

Robert Quinn, Sales Director at GAME said: "We have secured in-store the voice of one the most recognisable video games characters to sign autographs on the day. Customers have been waiting a long time to hear specific details about the hotly anticipated console, the Nintendo Wii, so we've given them a recognisable industry figure to keep them entertained whilst they wait."
