Samsung has been rumored before to plan the launch of an extra-large smartphone in the popular Galaxy Note series, and confirmation on the matter appears to have emerged.

Following the official unveiling of the new GALAXY S 4 smartphone, the South Korean handset vendor also announced a series of accessories for the device, including a Game Pad, which was designed to offer support for handsets of up to 6.3 inches in size.

While this alone cannot be seen as a confirmation of a large new phone from the company, it does fall in line with previous rumors, that’s for sure, TechRadar notes.

Recently, Samsung confirmed that it was working on a new phablet packing a screen smaller than 6 inches, yet that does not exclude the launch of a 6.3-inch Galaxy Note III in Q3 (previous Galaxy Note smartphones were launched in late August).
