This will be the first time that the company attends that trade show

Intel is one of the only companies with a brand strength high enough that it doesn't expect to lose much if it conducts a technology trade show almost at the same time as IFA 2013.

IFA 2013 will take place next week, in Berlin, Germany, from September 5 to September 9.

IDF 2013 is set for just after that, 10-12 September, and will be held in San Francisco, California.

Yet even so, many OEMs will attend the latter, like G.Skill, whose booth (no. 165) will hold a surprise.

And I'm not talking about its best DDR3 memory yet. I'm referring to the plans for future technologies it intends to reveal, like DDR4.

I should be back from IFA by the time the revelations are made, so I'll probably cover the news when it comes. Stay tuned until then.

"As this is our first time attending IDF, we are very excited to show our high performance quad channel DDR3 memory and also announce our plans for DDR4," said Mark Yu, technical marketing at G.SKILL.
