Since Intel just released its new generation of CPUs ahead of time, G.Skill figured it was an opportune moment for its own latest creations to debut, so it unleashed the RipjawsX collection of DDR3 modules and kits.

By now, end-users will have probably learned that Intel released the Sandy bridge collection of Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 central processing units.

While initially set to debut on January 5, their maker decided to speed things up, revealing a series of CPUs complete with high-end, mainstream and low-end desktop models.

Of course, to these are added the many laptop chips that were also delivered and should soon show up in notebooks, probably at CES.

Regardless, since it saw an opportunity, G.Skill prepared a fairly large collection of products of its own, a line of mid-to-high-end memory that is.

Known as the RipjawsX, it includes a myriad of products, with capacities of 4 GB or 8 GB, even 16GB, and frequencies of 1,333 MHz to 2,300 MHz.

The modules that make up these kits have capacities of either 2 GB or 4 GB and work on a current of 1.5V, 1.6V or 1.65V.

Furthermore, their latencies are very varied, depending on how fast they run and just how much memory they can provide a system with.

All modules are equipped with red, blue or black-colored heatspreaders and some of them are bundled with a fan, for extra cooling.

“Building on the strong success of the first generation Ripjaws brand in performance memory kits, every single RipjawsX memory kit is hand-tested on an Intel Sandy Bridge platform in accordance with G.Skill's strict internal testing procedure, to ensure the best in class performance, compatibility and reliability across a range of popular motherboards,” says the press release.

Unfortunately, the outfit did not mention the prices of the newcomers, but did say that they would all be backed by a lifetime warranty.
