It's finally official. G'zOne Type-S will be available for purchase exclusively from Verizon Wireless from now on. That's great news for anyone that wants to take this underwater phone out for a swim.

G'zOne Type-S is actually the follow-up of the Type-V model with which it greatly resembles. The difference between the two can be most easily noticed when it comes to sizes. This new phone model has 96.5 x 50.8 x 27.9 mm and a rugged design that makes it look as if it could withstand any impact.

The phone has several Military Standards specifications which make it an excellent device to use even in the harshest environments. G'zOne Type-S is water resistant, which makes it quite special, considering the fact that few mobile phones come equipped with such a feature. Even more, it is only natural that the phone is also capable of performing in highly humid places for a long period of time.

G'zOne Type-S is also resistant to strong shocks. Tests have shown that the phone can withstand multiple shocks from a height of up to 1.5 meters. Even more, it is dust resistant, which brings advantages that only those who usually work in the roughest conditions could specifically point at.

Aside these resistance features, G'zOne Type-S is still meant for communication and comes with high quality features. This flip phone has two display screens, which provide easy access to the most basic functions. Moreover, it is Web 2.0 enabled, which brings access to a wide range of information and allows the user to download ringtones, images and games.

G'zOne Type-S will be available starting the first of June at any Verizon Wireless store for USD 150 with a two-year customer agreement. To this sum there's also a USD 50 rebate.
