The benchmark no longer tracks application focus

Previous versions for PCMark Vantage Basic allowed you to run only one test before the application expired.

The company lifted this restriction in the newly released build 1.2.0 of the application, thus permitting running the benchmark as many times as you want, without having to register or pay a single dime.

This is great news, but some restrictions still remain, as Basic Edition users have no access to Suites and Settings sections of the application. Also, exporting to Excel is available only in the Professions and Advanced flavors of PCMark Vantage.

The second change available in PCMark Vantage 1.2.0 is that the test doesn’t track application focus anymore. The importance of this consists in the fact that unwitting ending of the benchmark run is avoided. However, using the computer during the assessment process will still influence the results.
