The well-known Nippon camera and lens manufacturer Sigma has announced that all their future Nikon F-mount lenses will come with a “D5300 Compatible” sticker meant to assure the buyer that the purchased lens won't have any issues when mounted on a D5300 camera.

Sigma issued a warning yesterday regarding the compatibility of some of their current lenses with the new Nikon D5300 camera. The current lenses that incorporate an internal motor (HSM lenses) seem to have various problems regarding the OS (Optical Stabilizer) and Live View Auto Focus functions.

To address this issues, Sigma announced that the latest F-mount lenses shipped from the factory will come with an updated firmware that will solve these problems.

Those of you already owning a Sigma HSM lens will be able to update your lens firmware using the Sigma USB Dock via Sigma Optimization Pro. You can also contact your local SIGMA distributor to upgrade your firmware in case you don't have a Sigma USB Dock.
