Video game developer BioWare and publisher Electronic Arts have not made a clear announcement about the new Mass Effect video game, but it seems that the two companies are aiming to add a range of new features to the traditional formula of the series.

Reddit users have managed to obtain details about the title from a survey aimed at fans, and the experience will task gamers with the exploration of the Helius cluster in the Andromeda galaxy.

The crew that gamers will recruit will play a major role in the new Mass Effect, with each companion having a unique set of abilities that are linked to his personality.

At the moment, BioWare mentions Cora, a powerful biotic, and the Krogan Drack, although names and powers might change as development progresses.

The star cluster where humanity is seeking a new destiny is a dangerous one, and players and their crew will have to get the resources that will allow them to improve their equipment and gain new abilities.

Choices made will affect companions and will change how they react to the events around them.

Action and interrupts will also play a major role in the dialog of Mass Effect.

Missions will include a variety of new gameplay elements

Mass Effect will include Strike Missions, which will allow gamers to deal with problems that they cannot tackle personally, using mercenaries and a capable set of Artificial Intelligence routines.

The concept seems similar to that of agent missions in Dragon Age: Inquisition, although the player might have a little more control.

Gamers can also choose to take control personally and recruit friends so that they can gain access to new exclusive rewards to improve their characters.

The new Mass Effect will apparently also have a new Horde-style multiplayer mode that asks gamers to defend themselves from waves of enemies recruited from battlefields across the galaxy.

BioWare suggests that gamers will get rewards as in previous titles, but they will also have the chance to gain a special currency that can be used to buy equipment for the single-player.

The company has not made an official announcement about the title, but one might arrive later in the year.

Presumably, it will be created natively for the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and the PC, and it will have a launch date for next year or 2017.
