The developers are trying to change the default look of Linux Mint

Linux Mint developers are looking to shed that green look for their operating system and they are working on providing more colors for the users of their operating system.

Everybody knows that Linux Mint has a green theme and most people are able to recognize it from a glance because no one else is using it. It's become a sort of a trademark for it (not in the legal sense), but it looks like they are not happy with it or at least they are trying to appeal to other people who might not enjoy that green color.

Clement Lefebvre, the leader of the Linux Mint project has shared some of the progress made by the team with the Blue and the Grey themes. They are also considering the implementation of red, purple, pink, yellow, sand, and aqua colors, although they are still waiting to hear from the community.

Linux Mint devs are also working to patch Nemo and Caja so that they can change the individual colors for the folders, and it looks like Nemo will get emblem support back as well.

There is no time frame for all of these modifications, and from the looks of it, they won't be ready anytime soon. In any case, Linux Mint users should find the operating system even more appealing with the range of colors.
