Upcoming app works on iPad and iPhone simultaneously

Development studio Amidio has announced an ukulele synthesizer app called Futulele. They’ve put out a cool demo video featuring a lovely female performer, and they’re touting Futulele as being “one of the first music apps optimized for the iPad 3.”

The app will arrive next month, and although it can work on the iPad alone, “Futulele really shines with a special guitar-shaped case that holds both an iPad and an iPhone, which are connected to each other via Bluetooth,” according to its makers.

As the girl shows (video embedded above), the advantage is to use the iPhone to define the chords. The iPad is then used solely for strumming.

Amidio says it’s looking for manufacturers who are willing to produce Futulele cases with embedded speakers. If you have any ideas, you can contact them at www.amidio.com.
