Fusion Linux 14, codenamed Thorium, has been released. The Fedora based Linux distro aims to provide a more complete environment than its upstream source, with the latest version of many packages, media codecs and other software packages to make everything work out of the box.

Fusion Linux 14 brings a visual revamp and a new post-installation wizard. However, Skype has been removed from the standard packages due to licensing issues.

"Fusion Linux 14 'Thorium' is officially out. This release has been in the making for last 5 months," Valent Turkovic announced.

"Work on this release started even before Fedora 14 got released, which is base for Fusion Linux 14. We had a lot of features, desktop components and overall polish to tie together into one coherent whole before making this release," he continued.

Fusion Linux adds packages from all sources, even non-free and non-open-source software, to be able to offer the best possible experience.
