Electronic Arts and Insomniac Games have confirmed that a special demo for their upcoming Fuse shooter will be released next week, on May 7, all around the world for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms.

Fuse is set to deliver a cooperative-focused shooter experience this month and developer Insomniac has released a variety of impressive videos with the upcoming game, showing off the four different heroes and their special weapons.

Now, those interested in the game will be able to try it out next week, on May 7, when a demo is released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.

The demo will allow four users to play alongside each other online or two users to play locally via split-screen.

Each will be able to control one of the four different characters, who have various abilities and use custom weapons augmented with a mysterious alien substance called Fuse.

The full version of Fuse is out on May 28 in North America, and May 31 in Europe, according to the PS blog.
