Sometimes, the quality of one’s headphones might not be exactly the most important thing to keep in mind when at the store, especially if we're talking about those who haven't yet parted with their inner child. For them, or for their fun-loving friends, the sight of weird, funny gadgets and the idea behind them will definitely be worth more than the actual technological value embedded in such products.

[admark=1]This is why a lot of manufacturers have started to explore new and even wacky directions and showcase uncanny pieces of technology every day. Such is the case with the four new pairs of earbud available through fredflare.com, looking fun all the way and ready for generic laughter.

They come in the shape of ladybugs, flies, ducks and even piglets, so that everybody could find their animal of choice and get groovy, but while looking like miniature toys or like fishing lures (the ladybug and the fly), these weird earbuds are perfect for children or as wacky gifts for those of your friends who'd appreciate such a joke.

Even though we're talking about earphones that look almost silly, their functionality isn't in any way impaired: you can use them with any of your favorite MP3 players, iPods, CD or DVD players and even notebooks or gaming consoles. The industry-standard 3.5mm stereo jack ensures perfect connectivity with most of the audio devices available on the face of the planet. There is no word on how these earbuds sound, but I guess nobody is expecting them to rival Etymotics or Shure, in any way.

Sporting a rather cheap-looking plastic casing, these headphones come with a 45” (100cm) cord and are painted in bright colors, as if especially made to make people stare. They're sold for $15 a pair and by all means I'd pay this price just to see my friends’ confused faces.

We are just a few, but there are many of you, Softpedia users, out there. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to create an email address for you to help us a little in finding gadgets we missed. Interesting links are bound to be posted with recognition going mainly to those who submit. The address is .
