Google is now running one of its most interesting doodles to date, but you've probably missed it since it's not available on the main site. It is however, running in much of Europe.

The doodle celebrates the 60th anniversary of the first book published by Polish science fiction author and philosopher Stanisław Lem, The Astronauts.

The doodle features black and white drawings and animation, but is especially interesting since users get to interact with it and even have to solve small puzzles to move forward.

It really is one of the funniest doodles to date, and there have been quite a few, especially for those with geekier inclinations.

The puzzles are relatively simple, the first one amounts to simple arithmetic, but the one where you have to modulate frequencies to match a particular pattern is especially fun.
