On Tuesday, Nokia unveiled to the world two new mobile phones powered by the Symbian Anna operating system, the Nokia X7, an entertainment device that would arrive on shelves with a large 4-inch touchscreen display, and the Nokia E6, a business-oriented handset that packs both Touch&Type capabilities, while sporting an E72 form factor. The new business smartphone comes to the market with a 2.46-inch TFT LCD touchscreen display that can deliver a VGA (640 x 480 pixel resolution), complemented by the aforementioned physical keyboard for more input options.

Moreover, the new device also comes with finger touch control, as well as with support for capacitive stylus usage, and with orientation sensor (Accelerometer), Compass (Magnetometer), proximity sensor, and ambient light detector.

The specifications list of the new device also includes GPRS/EDGE class B, multislot class 33, HSDPA Cat9, maximum speed up to 10.2 Mbps connectivity (GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900; WCDMA 850/900/1700/1900/2100).

Moreover, the new device comes with WLAN IEEE802.11 b/g/n capabilities, as well as with Bluetooth 3.0, Micro USB connector (High-Speed USB 2.0), 3.5 mm headphone jack, and FM Radio.

Nokia notes on its website that the new device comes with 8 GB of internal memory, and that users would also have the possibility to expand it by up to 32GB of additional storage space through the included microSD memory card slot.

On the back, the new device would sport an 8-megapixel photo snapper, with HD quality 720p resolution video recording capabilities, which is complemented by a secondary camera VGA for video calls.

The Nokia E6 mobile phone also comes with support for various multimedia files formats, as well as with demand WebTV widgets for local and global internet streaming TV.

A dedicated graphics processor with OpenGL 2.0 enables 3D graphics, while the integrated GPS, A-GPS receivers would enable users enjoy location based applications, such as Ovi Maps with free car and pedestrian navigation.

Other features of the new mobile phone would include support for various email services, including Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Windows Live, Hotmail and other popular POP/IMAP services, Mail for Exchange, as well as IM and SMS capabilities.

The Nokia E6 also offers fast access to Facebook and Twitter through Ovi by Nokia Social client, full web browsing of real web pages, HTML and JavaScript support, Flash Lite 4, RSS reader, support for Microsoft Communicator Mobile, and more.

The mobile phone is powered by a BP-4L 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery that can deliver up to 7 h 30 min of talk time on 3G, or up to 744 h of standby time (up to 9 h of video playback, up to 4.7 h of video recording time, or 75 h of audio playback). Nokia E6 measures 115.5 x 59 x 10.5 mm and weighs in at 133 g.
