PowerAMP, one of the popular music players that Android users out there can benefit from, has been updated today, and also got a full, paid version available for purchase via the Android Market. Basically, the paid version is available in the form of an Unlocker for the free app, and would cost $4.99.

The PowerAMP music player is said to be a pretty appealing application, and the fact that its maker spent no less than half a year to come up with it is reflected in the solution itself.

According to the guys over at Android Police, the new version of PowerAMP, build 230, sports a nice range of enhancements, complemented by many bug fixes.

The release notes for the new application flavor includes:

- Full Version is now available on Market - All Artist Songs via header in Artists->Albums list - Shuffle by Artist/Album/Genre selection for main SHUFFLE button - Further reduced pause between tracks - Option to enable “return to player” button in Folders/Library - Option to hide Equalizer Deck in portrait mode - .aac files now also recognized - Triple press support for headset button

As stated above, this is not all, as the application also comes with a series of bug fixes, including a series of stability fixes.

The application sports better Lock Screen/Direct Unlock support for some Android phones, such as HTC Hero and Samsung Galaxy S.

At the same time, it comes with better Bluetooth headset support for 2.2, as well as with improved album art handling and database handling.

The playlist will update current track position correctly. The app also fixes a bug related to the invalid detection for some vbr mp3 files, and which resulted in faster playing.

Other fixes in the application include:

- fixed issue with slow seek in long mp3 files - bug: headset buttons handled by PowerAMP even if headset support is disabled - bug: F/C in Genres list - bug: Genres list shown invalid files number

Both the free and the paid version of the PowerAMP music player are available for download/purchase via the Android Market.
