Windows 8.1 Preview does come with its own Start button, but instead of providing users with a Start Menu, it actually gets them to the new live tile-based Start screen.

Stardock has moved very fast to release a beta version of its famous Start8 third-party Start button that now works on Windows 8.1 Preview too, thus bringing back the classic Start Menu.

Microsoft doesn't allow users to disable the Windows 8.1 Preview Start button, so it could be a bit awkward to have two different buttons on your screen, one that launches a Start Menu and another one serving as a shortcut for the Start screen.

Either way, Windows 8.1 Preview is already experiencing a surprising success, despite the fact that it's still in beta, as many users have decided to give it a shot and try out the new Start button.
