CEO Steve Ballmer is expected to announce a major reorganization plan later today, but new details have reached the web only a few minutes ago.

According to a report published by AllThingsD, Ballmer wants Microsoft to be more focused on devices and services, not only on software, so the company’s business division will be reshuffled.

Julie Larson-Green, currently head of the Windows division, seems to be the biggest winner of this reorganization, with voices familiar with the matter hinting that it could be named boss of a hardware unit that would also include Surface, Xbox, music, and TV services.

Windows Phone chief Terry Myerson could become responsible for Windows engineering and platforms, while Qi Lu, currently in charge of the Online Services division, might also be the new head of Microsoft Office projects.

Current Server and Tools head Satya Nadella is likely to be named chief of a new cloud computing and business-focused products, while Tami Reller, Windows CFO and CMO, might put the focus on marketing.

Last but not least, Tony Bates, Skype president, is expected to become the new boss of business development and corporate strategy, while also becoming responsible for Microsoft’s relationship with developers.

Kurt DelBene, Microsoft Office president, is expected to be offered two different options: either leave or accept the leadership of Qi Lu. Kirill Tatarinov, president of the Microsoft Business Solutions, will have a similar fate, as Satya Nadella will take over his responsibilities.

COO Kevin Turner, CFO Amy Hood, HR chief Lisa Brummel, and chief lawyer Brad Smith are expected to keep their current roles after the reorganization is completed.

Of course, we should take all of these with a grain of salt, and more information will be provided in just a few hours, as Steve Ballmer is expected to make his plans public.
