T.I. sings about how lonely it is at the top on new duet with Christina Aguilera, “Castle Walls”

After the 30-second teaser of a few days ago, the full version of T.I.’s latest single, a collaboration with diva Christina Aguilera called “Castle Walls,” has been released – and you can check it out in the video embedded at the end of this article.

As we also informed you at the time, the song will be included on the rapper’s upcoming album, “No Mercy,” which arrives in music stores on December 7.

It aims to show the less glamorous side of celebrity, just like it says in the chorus: it’s lonely at the top, it’s lonely living alone inside the castle walls, as AceShowbiz can confirm.

“Produced by Alex da Kid, the same man behind Eminem's hit single ‘Love the Way You Lie,’ the track opens with Christina crooning her lines through the slow jam,” the e-zine notes.

In fact, since it’s such an unexpected duet (just like the one between Em and Rihanna was), “Castle Walls” is already drawing comparisons to “Love the Way You Lie” especially on video-sharing sites, like YouTube.

While most agree that both tracks are equally good, the majority of commenters believe “Castle Walls” is sadder, therefore deeper than Em’s hit song.

Aside from Christina’s lines about how lonely it is to be locked inside the castle walls, T.I. also chimes in, rapping about how people are too quick to judge on appearances alone.

“Observing the estate through the gate thought the outside looking in/ Bet you would think I got it made, better look again/ Got a butler, got a maid and a mansion/ The belief is that I’m living out a millonaire’s fantasy,” T.I. raps, before setting out to explain why the fantasy is more of a nightmare.

AceShowbiz notes that T.I. has also released a brand new video for “I Can’t Help It,” a collaboration with Rocko and his first single off the new album, to keep him visible to the media and promote the album while he’s spending an 11-month sentence in jail.

Fans are anxiously waiting to see how the video for “Castle Walls,” which is believed to be the second single off “No Mercy” will look. In the meantime, here is the song. Enjoy.
