The first “Expendables” movie proved to be such a big hit that they made a second, which also made many millions at the box office, and many fans happy. A third installment is now in the works and, after months of speculation, we finally have a full cast and plot synopsis.

Slash Film reports that “regulars” Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews and Arnold Schwarzenegger will return for more screentime.

Notably absent is Bruce Willis who, as noted on a previous occasion, asked for so much money for 4 days’ worth of work that it got Sly angry, calling him “lazy and greedy” on Twitter.

Wesley Snipes, Antonio Banderas, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey, Victor Ortiz and Glen Powell also star.

As for the synopsis, Gibson plays the villain, a former mate of Stallone’s Barney, whom he must face in one final battle.

“The latest mission becomes a clash of classic old-school style versus high-tech expertise in the Expendables’ most personal battle yet,” the synopsis reads.

Directed by Patrick Hughes, the film will be out in August 2014.
