Full Bore, a new 2D platformer developed by Whole Hog Games and published by Nkidu Games Inc. has been released on Steam for Linux.

Players will get to take on the role of a boar that tries to escape from an underground maze of caverns, ruins, and various block puzzles.

“Full Bore is the journey of a young boar through the long-buried past. As you figure out how the blocks around you behave, you'll be able to reach new areas of the world and uncover their mysteries- and their riches.”

“Use your ever-growing knowledge to dig your way through mines, temples, scrapyards, lava tubes, inexplicable lakes and mysterious laboratories, as you piece together the story of a world transfigured,” reads the official Steam website.

Unlike most games that are released on multiple platforms, Full Bore is only available for Windows and Linux, with no Mac OS X version in sight.

The Linux system requirements are also quite acceptable and users will be able to play the game on a normal computer: Ubuntu 12.04 or later, a 1.8 GHz processor, 500 MB of RAM, GeForce 7600 or equivalent, and 300 MB of available space.

The title also features a 10% discount that is scheduled to end on May 13. More details about Full Bore can be found on the Steam website.
