14 DAY TRIAL // Usually selling for $3.99 / €3.59, PopCap’s popular match-three puzzler, Bejeweled HD, is now a free download for iPad owners. Same goes for users of iDevices with smaller screens.
In updating the game to version 1.5, PopCap made Bejeweled and Bejeweled HD free of charge, with no announcement whatsoever.
The company is more keen on dishing out the changes in version 1.5, such as an updated Game Center icon, minor bug fixes and optimizations, and localization fixes.
“Thank you for your support, and as always please let us know what you think of the game and rate us after each update,” says PopCap, without even whispering “psst, it’s free now!”
To download Bejeweled standard, you need iOS 5.0 and a compatible iPhone and iPod touch. To download Bejeweled HD, iOS 5 and a supported iPad is required (from the second-generation model up).
