It appears that the new processor that Intel developed for tablets has landed in yet another model, although it will take up to two months for product shipments to actually begin.

Regardless of what has been happening on the tablet market, one can say with reasonably little doubt that new and better models are going to be coming out in droves.

Of course, this much could have easily been surmised by anyone, especially after a certain report that said ASUS was preparing a slate based on NVIDIA's Tegra 3 Kal-El.

Granted that particular model is still a long time coming, but it looks like a nearly altogether different one from Fujitsu isn't.

This once, it is not some rumor that lies behind the revelation regarding some slate or another, but an official introduction on the company's part.

More specifically, Fujitsu went ahead and added the Stylistic Q550 to its official web store, even though shipments will only be carried out starting June, 2011.

The newcomer is powered by the Intel Atom Z670 central processing unit, which is the first Oak Trail chip to leave Intel's labs.

In addition, 2 GB of RAM (random access memory) are present, along with either 30 GB of storage or 62 GB.

It is the storage capacity that gives the price difference between the two available models ($729 and $849, respectively).

Other than that, Bluetooth 3.0 is present, as is an SD/SDHC memory card slot, plus the GMA 600 integrated graphics and, of course, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi.

Finally, the Stylistic Q550 boasts HDMI, USB 2.0 connectivity (one port) and a 2-cell or 4-cell battery, plus a TPM (Trusted Platform Module) v1.2 on the more expensive option.

With 10.1-inch touchscreen displays whose resolution is 1,024 x 600 pixels (WXGA), the Fujitsu tablets are up for pre-order on this web page.
