One of the biggest computer system manufacturers, Fujitsu Siemens, has just unveiled its new Amilo 3000 range of laptops. The company has built this new product using a straightforward black and white design which, although simple, promises to bring a lot of innovative features.

The company's new Amilo 3000 product range comes with a unique monochrome design that enhances the PC's functionality. Apparently, the new black and white design is meant more as a color code than as a fashion feature. Everything that is black on the laptop is the "core technology", while everything white corresponds to the system's "human interface."

Although the company says that the new product is not meant to be mainly a fashion statement, its design features are likely to make the notebook a success. "We do not believe that computers should be like fashion accessories, changing every season at the designer's whim. Our aim is to unite an element of technology and a user-friendly interface," said Toni Koberling, Senior Consultant Product Design at Fujitsu-Siemens. The notebook also marks the first time the company has created a unified design concept for a market that is continuously growing.

As far as technical specifications go, the Amilo 3000 series is rather generous, providing users with all the necessary technology for a portable computer. Depending on the model you choose, you will be able to benefit from technologies such as AMILO GraphicBooster, Hybrid Graphic tech (with NVIDIA or ATI) or BrilliantView, all of which are meant to improve your graphic and visual experience when using the Fujitsu-Siemens product.

The Amilo 3000 series models can provide portable computing support to a number of users, ranging from entry-level to high-end gaming users. At the moment, there's no word on pricing and availability but the new products are expected to become available very soon.
