Back in early November, Fujitsu rolled out a series of new portable computer systems, which it had been planning for quite a while. Among the systems that were announced at that time, the PC vendor also introduced a rather unique configuration, which was dubbed the LifeBook N7010. On that note, it appears that the Fujitsu has just began shipping the new product, and it should be arriving to customers soon enough.

The LifeBook N7010 has clearly been designed as a portable computer system capable of delivering several features, specifically included to provide an excellent entertainment experience. Also, the system has been put together using some of the latest hardware components designed for the portable PC market. This combination is ultimately meant to offer end-users a powerful PC configuration that could potentially replace an older desktop PC.

The N7010 is equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 processor, which runs at a core speed of 2.4GHz, up to 4GB of memory, a large-capacity 320GB disk and an ATI Radeon HD 3470 graphics solution, which also comes with 256MB of memory. As with all of the latest portable computer systems, the LifeBook N7010 isn't about compromises, and this translates into a number of integrated features. The system is equipped with a 1.3MP webcam, HDMI output, 4 USB ports, Firewire, wireless 802.11 b/g/n and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, eSATA, ExpressCard5/4, fingerprint scanner and a multi-touch touchpad.

If all this isn't enough to determine you to buy one, Fujitsu also went the extra mile and even integrated a 4-inch LCD touch screen that boasts a resolution of 480 by 272 pixels. The display comes as a multi-function solution that can be used as a media control, application launcher, and so on and so forth. Also, the system can be equipped with a water cooling solution that will likely keep temperatures, as well as the noise, down to a minimum.

Price-wise, the LifeBook N7010 is available for users in the U.S. at a starting price of $1,499, which doesn't include a TV Tuner or the water cooling solution.
