Fujitsu has recently launched the convertible Ultrabook Lifebook TH90 / P and the LifeBook AH90 Grannote notebook, aimed at a new emerging market for elderly users.

But the PC maker also introduced an updated version of the Lifebook AH42 / M, an affordable laptop suitable for all-round use due to its 15.6-inch display complete with HD resolution.

The new model now packs the Intel Pentium 3558U processor clocked at 1.7GHz (from the Haswell family) and can be fitted with 4GB up to 16GB of RAM, combined with a traditional 750GB hard drive.

Furthermore, the AH42 / M also has 3 USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0, HDMI video output, RJ-45, Gigabit modules Ethernet LAN, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

The new Haswell model is available in Japan for $1,235 / €906 a pop, which might not seem all that budget-friendly, but keep in mind that prices in the country is usually pretty high.
