Fujitsu PC Asia Pacific today launched what it claims to be the lightest pen convertible notebook: the new LifeBook P1510. Equipped with the next-generation Intel Centrino platform, this equipment grants the full computing power of a primary notebook in the most ultra compact form factor available.

Sporting an 8.9-inch swiveling Wide SVGA LCD screen, the LifeBook P1510 can be used as a notebook computer or as a digital notepad with the screen swiveled over the keyboard. Medical professionals and engineers will appreciate its handheld tablet form, using the included stylus to make notes on-the-go,
while jetsetters will appreciate its ability to rest comfortably on an airplane table tray.

Extreme portability is assured with a weight of approximately one kilogram. An impressive battery life of up to 8 hours with an optional second battery maximizes total productivity while on-the-go. Powerful features include 512MB of memory space and 60GB of storage space ensures that today's elite professionals have ample room to store all of their important digital data.

An optional port replicator transforms this ultra portable gadget into a full-featured notebook, enabling easy docking and undocking from devices without the fuss of reconnecting cables.

Recognising the need for enhanced security in today's security-conscious world, this ultra compact pen convertible notebook features the biometric smarts of fingerprint recognition technology. An effortless swipe of your pre-registered finger is all it takes to access to confidential files and folders, while encryption of confidential files and folders with your fingerprint ensures you can reliably prevent unauthorised data access.

USB and audio connectors are also conveniently located allowing hassle-free access for the plug and play of a vast array of computing peripherals. Comprehensive connectivity options such as SD and CF card slots grants jetsetters and budding digital artists easy transfer of photo or video clips during vacations and getaways.

The LifeBook P1510 will debut at COMEX 2005 with a recommended retail price of $3,488 and comes with Fujitsu's standard three year warranty.
