Fujitsu has just issued a press release in which it reveals the existence and gives some details on the LifeBook AH530 GFX laptop, a variation of the AH530 that was made public back in May, only this time the machine comes with a Mobility Radeon HD550v graphics card.

Like so many other laptops unveiled so far, the LifeBook AH530 GFX is powered by the Intel mobile platform, with processor options including Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 models.

Depending on user preference, the selected CPU can set the performance bar on the notebook, but all chips have their own integrated video solution.

While this means that the mobile PC would have all it needs to perform casual computing and multimedia tasks, the Intel GMA HD cannot cope with all tasks that end-users would put their PC through.

Thus, Fujitsu decided to provide the ATI Mobility Radeon HD550v discrete video board, which has 1GB of dedicated memory and support for advanced graphics.

This GPU will make sure that the 15.6-inch HD display (resolution of 1,366 x 768 pixels) is fully taken advantage of.

The CPU of the AH530 GFX is backed up by up to a solid 8GB of RAM, whereas a hard disk drive of up to 500GB sees to storage needs, alongside a DVD write or Blu-ray drive.

Other specifications include Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, a 4-in-1 card reader, Bluetooth 2.1, a 1.3 megapixel webcam and a 6-cell battery.

As for the design, the laptop uses a spill-resistant keyboard with a full numeric keypad, plus a slim casing, and will be available in two color options, specifically glossy black and ink blue.

Unfortunately, shipments of the Fujitsu LifeBook AH530 GFX have not started yet, with availability being set for sometime by the end of the ongoing month. Pricing details remain undisclosed.
