Fujitsu Computer Systems Corporation recently announced that it has launched the fifth generation of its best-selling adaptable Tablet PC - the LifeBook T4210 Tablet PC, informs Hardware Zone.

The T4210 is said to be the sole convertible Tablet PC on the market which features a built-in modular bay that supports an optical drive or an additional battery. Furthermore, Fujitsu's latest Tablet PC seems to have the industry's first bi-directional display axis which enables the user to easily turn the screen in both directions.

The LifeBook T4210 is an ultra-light Tablet PC weighing 4.2 pounds, it includes
also a 12.1-inch XGA display offering more than a 160 degree viewing angle (both vertically and horizontally), and delivers up to 6.5 hours of battery life with the main battery or up to 11 hours with dual batteries.

Fujitsu has included a wide range of ports in order to connect peripherals directly, and an optional port replicator with hot-docking capability, which offers easy access to desktop peripherals. Moreover, the user will benefit from an innovative feature - the dual digital microphones, which combined with a noise cancellation function, can be utilized for VoIP, dictation or other speech driven applications.

As it is powered by Intel Core Duo processor, and because it features an enhanced functionality of Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005, the LifeBook T4210 Tablet PC can be regarded as being a valuable investment.
But here comes the best part. It seems that, if the user rotates and folds the screen down, the LifeBook T4210 Tablet PC transforms itself into a tablet configuration for pen-driven navigation or for handwritten notes and drawings with digital ink. Furthermore, Fujitsu's latest notebook has advanced stylus which includes two buttons and a built-in eraser.

The T4210 Tablet PC presents several security features such as an Absolute Software Corporation's Computrace theft protection, secure asset tracking solutions, and also an integrated Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2 to 'shield' data and validate users, dedicated SmartCard slot, biometric fingerprint swipe sensor, exclusive Fujitsu Security Panel with 800,000 possible password combinations, and two-level hard disk drive password protection.

The LifeBook T4210 Tablet PC (the standard version) can be purchased at $1,729. The user can pick a recommended configuration, or can customize their system using the Fujitsu Configure to Order (CTO) program.
