The new models will probably be marketed solely in Japan

Microsoft introduced its low-cost Windows 8.1 with Bing solution not so long ago and since then tablet manufacturers have been keen on jumping on board with Redmond and make use of the platform.

We have seen Toshiba, HP or ASUS launch tablets bundling this particular operating system, but more are expected to join in the party, such as Fujitsu that has just rolled out two new models taking advantage the OS, coming in the form of Arrows Tab QH33/S and QH55/S, as reported by Notebook Italia.

Nevertheless, most likely we won’t be seeing the two tablets arrive in retail locations outside Japan. With this in mind, we’ll have to note the slates will sell for quite high price-tags considering the standard set by Windows 8.1 with Bing.

It’s not something unusual because electronics tend to be very expensive in Japan, but the two models still appear quite overpriced to us, especially with products like the HP Stream tablets being out and about.

Fujitsu Tab QH33/S

Anyway, going back to the new Fujitsu slates, the Arrows Tab QH33/S is an 8-incher boasting 1280 x 800 pixel resolution.

The device draws power from an Intel Z3735F Bay Trail processor clocked at 1.3GHz and fitted with 2GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

These are quite decent specs for a Windows 8.1 with Bing tablet, but the trouble is the device will be sold for €435 / $551.

To compare, HP’s 8-inch Stream tablet that is available for $150 / €118 offers the same resolution, an Intel Bay Trail Z3745G processor fitted with just 1GB of RAM and only 16GB of RAM. Nevertheless, the price climb still feels quite steep.

The device also takes advantage of a microUSB port, microHDMI, microSD card reader, a 5MP rear camera, Wi-Fi module and Bluetooth 4.0.

Now moving along to the larger of the two, the Arrows Tab QH55/S – this is a 10.1-inch IPS model offering FHD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) with an Intel Atom Z3795 processor on the inside.

The tablet is fitted with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It will go on sale towards the end of December for the hefty price of €800 / $1,013.

Other specifications include two cameras (an 8MP one on the back and a 2MP one up in the front), NFC, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

To the larger model customers can also add an additional keyboard companion, pretty much in the vein of the ASUS Transformer Book family. Fujitsu is also throwing in a smart pen in the mix.
