Fujitsu-Siemens has announced the addition of another notebook to the company's Amilo 3000-series, the Pi3540. The new mobile PC is said to be optimized for the handling
of high-definition media. Fujitsu-Siemens stated that it designed the Amilo Pi3540 notebook to provide more than 90-percent faster HD video encoding.

The Pi3540 is powered up by an Intel Centrino 2 processor and features 4GB of RAM. The graphics processing relies on the NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS card the company has included in its mobile PC. The card can support highly demanding multimedia applications, as well as the latest power draining video games. It seems that the video performance of the notebook has been increased to about 300-percent, while the overall performance of the machine experiences a 50-percent enhancement.

The Amilo Pi3540 feature list does not end here. The company has also included in the notebook an Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN, said to provide five times more speed than previous available wireless devices, an e-SATA port for high-speed external hard-drives, a built in card reader 15-in-1 and a 15.4-inch widescreen display. The notebook also has a spill-resistant keyboard. In order to allow the Pi3540 to be used in quiet environments, Fujitsu-Siemens included a "silent mode", enabling fan noise reduction.

The performance of the machine is combined with its elegant design, making it a suited companion for digital life. There are two colors available for Pi3540, white and black, suggesting both reliability and elegance.

The Amilo Pi3540 has been announced for release during August. The price tag for the notebook has been set at $1,253.

The previously announced Fujitsu T5010 Tablet PC, also an Intel Centrino 2 based, has been made available for pre-ordering. The price of the device has been set at $1,769, and delivery should begin in mid-August, revealed Fujitsu-Siemens in a press release.
