After months of rumors and leaks, Fujifilm has finally unveiled the X-T1 flagship interchangeable lens camera and it seems that all the rumors were true. This means there are not many surprises regarding the camera's specs, but for those of you who didn't follow our latest posts, here's what you can expect.

Fujifilm X-T1 comes with a 16.3MP X-Trans II CMOS APS-C (23.6 x 15.6mm) image sensor with a primary color filter that removes the need of an Optical Low Pass filter enabling higher quality images. The camera is also powered by the same EXR Processor II as the X-E2 model, which comes with a Lens Modulation Optimizer (LMO).

Fujifilm's new X-series mirrorless camera comes with a high ISO sensitivity of up to ISO51,200 that will allow you to use it even in low-light conditions, making it perfect for artistic portraits and other projects that require low-light exposures.

The new X-T1 has an ultra-fast start-up time of just 0.5 second and is capable of capturing still images with a maximum 0.5 second shooting interval. The AF uses phase detection and is also super-fast at 0.08 seconds, while the shutter lag stands at just 0.05 seconds.

In addition to that, Fujifilm X-T1 can capture up to 8 frames per second with AF tracking in burst shooting mode and uses MOV and H.264 formats to record 1080p Full HD video footage at 60/30 frames per second with linear PCM Stereo sound.

When it comes to metering, the X-T1 uses a TTL 256-zone that will help you get accurate scene measurements and with a shutter speed that ranges from 30 seconds to 1/4000 of a second, the new X-series camera will help you freeze motion or get beautiful long exposure photos. You can also use Bulb mode for a maximum exposure of 60 minutes.

The camera's Real Time Viewfinder is a state-of-the-art EVF that comes with a 2.36m-dot resolution OLED display and 0.77x magnification, which currently is the world's highest among digital cameras.

Fujifilm X-T1 has a tough magnesium body and comes with approximately 80 points of weather sealing, making the camera body water-resistant, dust-resistant and capable of being operational even at temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celsius.

Furthermore, the X-T1 features enhanced Wi-Fi functions that allow you to control AF, shutter release, shutter speed, aperture, exposure compensation, ISO sensitivity, and other features from any compatible smartphone or tablet using the Fujifilm Camera Remote app.

For timelapse aficionados, Fujifilm X-T1 also packs an intervalometer that allows you to capture up to 999 frames with intervals ranging from 1 second to 24 hours.

Fujifilm X-T1 will hit market shelves on March 7 and is now available for pre-order at a price of $1,299 / €950 / £1,049 for body only and $1,699 / €1,240 / £1,399 for the 18-55mm lens kit.
