Launched back in October 2013 in the US, Fujifilm's X-E2 mirrorless interchangeable lens camera is finally available for purchase in India, according to Fonearena.

The Fujifilm X-E2 packs a 16.3MP X-Trans CMOS II APS-C format sensor with an original color filter array that discards the need of an optical low pass filter, which usually minimizes moiré, sacrificing resolution.

The camera also integrates the latest EXR Processor II that comes with the Lens Modulation Optimizer (LMO) feature, designed to greatly enhance the processing of various lens parameters in order to deliver high-quality images with great sharpness levels.

At the time of its launch in the US, the X-E2 also claimed the world's fastest AF speed title with 0.08 seconds responsiveness, the same as the capabilities of the latest Fujifilm X-T1 weather-sealed mirrorless model.

Speaking of autofocus, the camera takes advantage of a hybrid AF system that combines phase detection AF with contrast AF to deliver fast and accurate focusing even when shooting in low-light conditions.

Also, for photographers who love working in low-light conditions, Fujifilm X-E2 features a high ISO sensitivity of up to ISO 6,400 (ISO 25,600 extended). Film simulation modes are also available on the X-E2, including: Velvia, ASTIA, PROVIA, Monochrome, Sepia, Pro Neg.Std, and Pro Neg.Hi.

Fujifilm X-E2 is also capable of capturing 1080p Full HD video footage at 60 frames per second with increased AF tracking performance, greater accuracy, smoothness, and focusing speed.

Among other great features packed into Fujifilm X-E2, we can mention a 2.36M-dot high-resolution OLED EVF, 3-inch 1.04M-dot LCD display monitor, built-in pop-up flash, in-camera RAW converter, and approx. 350 shots per battery charge.

Fujifilm X-E2 is now available for purchase in India at a price of Rs. 76,999 / $1,230 / €900 for body only and Rs. 109,999 / $1,760 / €1,285 for the XF 18-55mm lens kit.
