Fujifilm has recently released a new firmware version for its X100S camera. Version 1.02 comes to fix the issue where brightness of the OVF bright frame doesn't change according to the surrounding light in case of ISO 1600 and higher.

X100S' key features and highlights are, first of all, its retro-styling that will automatically make it stand out.

Then, there's the new sensor and image processor that make a big difference when compared to its predecessor, the X100, in terms of AF of startup speed.

To install firmware version 1.02, download the “FPUPDATE.DAT" file and copy it to a formatted memory card. Insert the card in the camera and power it on while holding down the “Back” button.

When the firmware update menu shows up, all you need to do is follow the on-screen instructions.

Remember to have a fully charged battery available. If you run out “juice” while updating, chances are you'll damage or even brick your camera.

Below is the link to the firmware. Download, install and stay “updated one minute ago.”
