A couple of days ago we stumbled upon the first leaked pictures of some of the upcoming Fujifilm cameras, including X100S, FinePix S1, and S9400W. In addition to that, a few pictures show a new mysterious model called X-W1, which could be the rumored Fujifilm weather-sealed X-series camera.

Today, Fujifilm announced its lineup for this year's CES show and we must say that it looks more than interesting. Although not the first 50x camera from the company, the FinePix S1 comes to claim the number one spot in its category by being the first weather-resistant superzoom bridge camera on the market.

The new FinePix S1 comes with a faster 24-1200mm (35mm equivalent) f/2.8-5.6 lens than its previous SL1000 model that has a f/2.9-6.5 aperture range and was announced at last year's CES show.

The rest of its features are pretty much the same as the SL1000’s, including a backlit 1/2.3-inch 16.4 megapixel CMOS sensor along with a vari-angle 3-inch LCD and electronic viewfinder with 920k-dot resolution.

The camera is capable of shooting 1080p Full HD video footage at 60frames per second and comes with a newly-developed 5-axis image stabilization and 3D noise reduction that will greatly improve video shooting performance.

In addition to the usual P, A, S, M functions, the S1 also comes with a C (custom) setting mode that allows you to save any settings you want and switch to them in an instant when needed. Moreover, thanks to the Function button, you can also register quick shortcuts to various settings such as ISO sensitivity or white balance.

The camera also integrates a Motion Panorama 360 mode that gives you the freedom to create 360 degrees panoramas just by pressing the shutter button and turning around in a circle.

In addition to that, the S1 has is capable of capturing up to 10fps in continuous shooting mode and also comes with an integrated Time Lapse Interval Shooting function of up to every 10 minutes for 6 hours maximum.

Furthermore, sending your photos to your smartphone or tablet and even controlling your camera from one of these devices can be easily achieved via the built-in Wi-Fi feature. The Fujifilm FinePix S1 will be available starting March at a price of $499.95 / €368.
