Developer Mode 7 Games has announced that it has released the new Red expansion for its turn-based tactical game, Frozen Synapse, which can be downloaded from the website of the company or from Steam for 10 dollars or Euro.

Those who do not buy Red can still play against and with those who get the expansion.

The single-player campaign can now be played cooperatively, with two players working together against the Artificial Intelligence and those who plan to fight head to head can use the new Upload mode.

Gamers will also need to learn to use the new Riot Shield unit, which allows them to develop some new tactics and there are three new mutators to modify scenarios.

There are also more music tracks, six of them newly composed, and a new chiptune to savor.

The expansion also introduces the cosmetic Red mode, which turns the mostly blue look of the game to new color horizons.
