This is the announcement that kids from all over the world have been waiting for and that parents from all over the world have been dreading: “Frozen 2” is coming. The official announcement isn't out yet but we know that Disney is working on the project because insiders have revealed it.

But this isn't just any insider we're talking about here, this is Idina Menzel, the very woman who has given her voice to the character Queen Elsa in the first movie. Speaking with The Telegraph, Idina said “they're all in the works,” referring to the sequel but also the stage musical.

Idina Menzel wants to be part of the sequel, doesn't know about the stage adaptation yet

The singer and actress who is used to rocking on stage on Broadway has also confessed that she won't make it to the stage adaptation, although she would make the most obvious choice, but she does hope she will make it to the sequel as she thinks it would be nice to voice the most famous character in recent history.

It's been a year now since the movie first came out and it has risen to amazing levels of popularity, making box office history. The money didn't stop coming in for the studio after the animation stopped playing in theaters because they are now reportedly banking on selling the toys and dolls.

With Christmas just around the corner, it's been reported that the “Frozen” dolls, Elsa in particular, are outselling Barbie as the number one toy on the market, thus putting an end to her 11-year-long reign.

Menzel gets recognized by children because of her voice, is surprised

Menzel meanwhile says she was shocked and yet pleasantly surprised to find out that kids nowadays are able to recognize her voice from the movie, something that she, as a child watching other Disney films, was not able to do. She is honored to have taken part in this project and that's why she's so keen to appear in the sequel.

Though she has an extraordinary voice, Menzel admits that the famous song “Let It Go” is very hard to sing and oftentimes she has difficulty singing it herself, particularly in the mornings. The only advice for those who want to improve their vocals is just to sing it loud and proud, in the car, in the shower and don't worry about hitting those high notes.
