Friends and Fans to Rally Outside Jail for Lindsay Lohan

Word in the blogosphere has it that Lindsay Lohan may be getting out of jail today, only two weeks after turning herself in to serve a 90-day sentence for parole violation in a DUI and cocaine possession case. Her attorney is certainly hoping for an early release, especially since she also has to go to rehab for 3 months, also by court orders. To show their support, friends and fans will rally outside the Lynwood facility Lindsay is serving time in, Ted Casablanca of E!’s The Awful Truth reports.

Of course, they’re all hoping that Lindsay will be released today – but even if she isn’t, they want to tell her that she still has many people who love and are rooting for her. Presumably, all her close friends and even some select fans will be asked to join the protest, in the hope that their message will be heard. Some are also trying to make a point with the rally, namely that Lindsay has served enough time for her past crimes and that she should be let out already.

“Lindsay Lohan may not be a free woman just yet, but fans are planning a supportive rally for their fave Mean Girl. All Lohan fans are asked to gather at 2:00 p.m. at the Lynwood lockup this afternoon. Signs, shirts and hair extensions in Lindsay’s honor all encouraged. So does that mean Linds is going to get an early release? Yes and no. Die-hard members of Team L.L. know she won’t get out of Lynwood today, but they just want Linds to know that she still has a huge fan base waiting for her when she gets out,” Casablanca writes.

To make sure that everything goes by the book, a team of stylists is already at hand in case Lindsay is sprung free and she needs to look her best for the cameras. “Realistically, we hear that friends close to Lohan are hopeful for a midnight release this coming Sunday, and it’s not entirely out of the question just yet. While Lindsay’s team of stylists are on call starting this weekend, there is no official word when the release will happen. After Paris Hilton’s 30-second catwalk strut out of Lynwood a few years ago, it’s a necessity that Lindsay look her best,” Casablanca further writes.

For now, Lindsay is holding up pretty well under the circumstances, a friend of the family says for the same e-zine. As for reports that she’s been getting preferential treatment in jail, including being allowed to keep her hair extensions (which are taken out of other inmates’ hair), all these are bogus reports, the same friend insists.
