Ross was right! That one time when Rachel Green from “Friends” tried her hand at domesticity by making a typically English dessert, and came up with what was probably the most disgusting thing ever, was the only time he came to experience the taste of feet.
If you’re a fan of the iconic sitcom, this one is for you: one fan of the show, Neil Killham, came up with the idea of recreating Rachel’s infamous English trifle and then took it to work for his mates to have a go at it and thus settle once and for all the debate: could it have tasted “like feet” or not?
Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) made half an English trifle and half a shepherd’s pie, because the pages of the cookbook she used were stuck together. So her dessert, as you can see in the video below, included both sweet stuff like custard, raspberries, ladyfingers, jam and whipped cream with bananas, but also beef sautéed with peas and onions.
Neil documented his little experiment with photos and updates on Twitter. As you can imagine, absolutely no one was too happy about the result, and he ended up tossing to the garbage bin almost half of the dessert.
He didn’t say if it actually tasted like feet, but the expression on his mate’s face says it all: it probably did; this was something that only Joey could possibly like. Or, as he would say, “What’s there not to like? Custard? Good! Jam? Good! Meat? Good!!”
Enjoy.
