14 DAY TRIAL // Chris Brown and Rihanna have been “hooking up” a lot since they publicly broke up after he beat her up 3 years ago. A new report says they're en route to an official reconciliation – and friends are worried sick they can't prevent it.
For the past couple of weeks, word has been picking up that the two have been keeping in contact all these years. Even more, they secretly dated and have maintained an on-and-off affair.
They're one step closer to getting back together officially, no matter what fans, the media or Brown's girlfriend might have to say about it.
Their friends are dreading the day, TMZ has learned. At the same time, they're doing their best to prevent it.
“According to sources, Rihanna is still head over heels for Chris – despite that fateful night 3 years ago when he brutalized her – and if it weren't for the media and her fans, she would already have taken him back,” TMZ writes.
Chris feels the same way: in fact, had it been only up to him, he would have been back with Rihanna a while ago.
“According to sources, friends on BOTH sides have expressed extremely strong reservations to Ri and CB about spending so much time together, warning it's a terrible idea... personally AND professionally,” the celebrity e-zine says.
“But with Rihanna's birthday... Chris and Rihanna's duets released this week... friends fear they're fighting an uphill battle. As one source put it, 'You can't hold back love',” adds TMZ.
Just yesterday, for instance, reports emerged online that the whole fling with Rihanna was taking place with the knowledge of Brown's current girlfriend, model Karrueche Tran, with whom he had an open relationship.
Moreover, insiders claimed, she knew it was in her best interest to be with Chris for a while longer, so she never thought of bringing up the Rihanna topic in his presence, as we also informed you.
