A new wireless router comes from Belkin, it is called the N1 Vision and it has an interactive network display. As far as I know, this is the only router available on market that dropped the confusing blinking LEDs in favor of a fully fledged display. N1 Vision is packed into a sleek and elegant case and it offers the
best networking performance. It follows the 802.11n standard and is equipped with gigabit ports.
Belkin N1 Vision will display several types of information like download and upload speeds, network bandwidth usage, number of connected devices, guest access network key, date and time. As its producer said, N1 Vision is best suited for streaming video, music and photos, on-line gaming, web surfing, chatting and emailing. Belkin N1 Vision's main features are interactive network display, plug-and-play, not CD required, operating range up to 500 meters, up to 300Mbps link rate in 20/40 channel mode, one Gigabit port for WAN use, four Gigabit ports for use on LAN, standard wireless security features, VPN support and tunneling and finally N1 Vision is compatible with the following standards IEEE 802.11g, 802.11b, 802.11n and 802.3a.
Chris McGugan, VP of Product Management for Belkin, said: "We always strive to build products that are useful, simple, and thoughtfully designed. Here, we've evolved the intuitive LED display from our flagship N1 Wireless Router into an interactive LCD on the N1 Vision, giving you a sophisticated wireless router that tells you much more about your network activity." "The innovation found in the N1 Vision wireless router is the springboard for subsequent products that will further enable the interaction between the home user and his or her network."
The Belkin N1 Vision wireless router will be available in late July in the U.S. and later in Europe, Asia and Australia.
